MP AND MCE COMMISSION NEW CLASSROOM BLOCK AT ST. AUGUSTINE’S SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

On Thursday, 18th June, the member of parliament of Prestea Huni- Valley constituency Lawyer Barbara Oteng-Gyasi together with the Municipal Chief Executive Dr. Isaac Dasmani commissioned a 6-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities at St. Augustine’s Senior High School at Bogoso in the Prestea Huni- Valley Municipal Assembly

Mrs. Barbara Oteng- Gyasi explained that, the infrastructure is part of government’s agenda to promote free and quality education in the country. she encouraged the people gathered to support government’s vision to educate every child of school going age. She further talked about some projects she as a member of parliament has undertaken for her constituency. Some of which are kindergarten blocks and ICT centers for the municipal. She finally called on the teachers and guardians gathered to encourage and motivate students to make good use of these facilities given them. She also pleaded with the teachers to observe proper maintenance culture to help sustain the project which will engender more projects to come to the Municipal.

According to the Municipal Chief Executive of the Prestea Huni-Valley Municipal Assembly, Dr. Isaac Dasmani the project was constructed by the tidal Consult at a cost of five hundred and forty-nine thousand, six hundred and forty-eight Ghana cedis.

He also called upon the authorities of the school to keep the building in good shape because it will be checked on from time to time.

Finally, the headmistress of the school, Mrs. Mary Yamson expressed her profound gratitude to the Member of Parliament and the government for the kind gesture.
