EUROPEAN UNION SUPPORT 10 PEOPLE FROM THE PRESTEA HUNI VALLEY MUNICIPAL

Ten people from the Prestea Huni Valley Municipal have received training and supply of equipment under the Ghana Employment and Social Protection Programme which was sponsored by the European Union.

The ten Beneficiaries were made up of 5 males and 5 females. Four (4) out of the total number were Persons with Disability. They received training in various areas such as leather work, heavy-duty equipment, dressmaking, mobile phone repairs, CCTV installation among others. The training was held at various places such as Tarkwa, Takoradi, Techiman and Accra. Certificates, license and equipment to operate with were given to the Participants after the training.

Addressing the beneficiaries, the Municipal Chief Executive Hon Isaac Dasmani PhD thanked the European Union and urged the beneficiaries to use the equipment for its intended purpose so that the training they acquired will not be in vain. He appealed to the entire populace to take advantage of such interventions.

The beneficiaries in expressing their gratitude thanked the European Union, the MCE, and the Assembly for such intervention. They promised to work with it and also train others for the development of the Municipality and to also help do away with youth unemployment.
