As part of his working visit to the Western Region on 4th<\/sup> September 2021, President Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo inspected ongoing works on the forty-six capacity bed (46) polyclinic at Bogoso in the Prestea-Huni Valley Constituency. The project which commenced on 4th<\/sup> February 2021, is expected to be completed by December 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inspecting the project, the contractor, Vexed Nederland BV assured the president that the project was about seventy percent gone and would be completed as scheduled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The president was pleased with the quality of work done and tasked the contractor to complete it as per the time given him. He was then taken through the architectural designs of the building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 The building when completed will have a Doctor\u2019s Quarters, Male and Female Wards, Children\u2019s Ward, Consulting Rooms, offices, a Kitchen, a Store Room, and a Cold room among others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing the media, The Municipal Chief Executive Dr. Isaac Dasmani mentioned that the Government aimed to bring quality health care closer to the doorstep of the people. According to the MCE, the contractor has assured them of completing on time. He pleaded with the people to exercise patience as the facility will be completed on time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The recently appointed Chairperson of the Minerals Commission\u2019s Governing Board, Lawyer Barbara Oteng Gyasi who doubles as the Immediate Past Member of Parliament for Prestea Huni- Valley constituency, expressed delight with the quality of work done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing the media, she revealed that the project forms part of six others being constructed in various locations within the region.  \u201cThe President aims to improve the quality of health provision in the region and Ghana as a whole\u201d, she mentioned. She further revealed that as part of its commitment to extend healthcare to various communities within the municipality, the Government in collaboration with the Ministry of Health plans to construct a 100-bed Capacity Hospital as part of the president\u2019s Agenda 111 promise.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
