The Statistics department is responsible for the following activities
- To collect, compile, store and analyze data based on standardized formats developed by Ghana Statistical Service (GSS)
- Participate in surveys and census and other related field work.
- Generate the data requirements of the Municipal Assembly of department for planning activities of the Municipal Assembly.
- Disseminate and publish statistical data based on guidelines developed by GSS
- Prepare and submit quarterly a md annual report of its operation to the Municipal Assembly
- Provide inputs for the preparation of Municipal Assembly Budget
- Provide timely data for incorporation into Municipal, regional and national level statistical analysis
- Monitor statistical enquiries/survey with the Municipality
- Advise the Municipal Assembly on all matters relating to statistics
- Promote statistical literacy and research
- Respond to data request by client/public
