The Prestea Huni Valley Municipal Assembly donated about one thousand six
hundred furniture to the Ghana Education service (GES) at the municipal assembly.
Speaking to the media after the donation, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Mozart KWAKU Owuh said the NPP government has better plans for education, so the Member of Parliament for the Constituency, who also doubles as the Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Lawyer Barbara Oteng Gyesi and himself have planned to support the education sector with the Mineral Development Fund (MDF) by providing furniture’s to the three SHS within the municipal and some selected basic schools.
The member of Parliament added that , she will add 500 furniture’s to the 1600 which will sum up to 2100. She said she believes this can help limit the problems of inadequate furniture in schools in the municipality.
She advised the Heads of the schools to take care
of the donated furniture.
