BURIAL SERVICES FOR APIATSE DECEASED VICTIMS.

20th January, 2022 unexpected incident happened at Apiatse around 11:30 am in the morning which resulted in 13 deaths, on 11th March 2022 the municipal chief executive of Prestea Huni Valley Municipal Assembly Hon. Isaac Dasmani (PHD) received a high powered government delegation to sympathize with good people of Apiatse as the municipal performed the burial rites of the deceased victims of the incidents that happened at Apiatse.

The delegation consists of Hon. Benito Owusu Bio (Deputy Minister for Lands and Natural Resources), Hon Lawyer Mrs. Barbara Oteng Gyasi (Board Chairperson Mineral Commission and President of Wassa Hemaa foundation) and other officials of the minerals commission and the ministry of lands and natural resources, the representative of the regional minister Kobby Okyere Darko Mensah and all Western Region MMDCEs commiserated with the bereaved families of seven of the 13 deceased persons.

Addressing the gathering Hon. Benito Owusu Bio give condolences to the bereft families who have lost their love ones, and added that very promise the government made concerning bring back Apiatse back to lives. He added that he came with engineers to whether tall building is good to stand or to pull it down and also he came with others to design the layout of the town. Roofing of Dumasi resettlement building which is serving as temporary accommodation for Apiatse people is ongoing, he also said construction of building will be done in one year

Nana Attah Kojo Bremebi (Beppo Divisional Chief) thanks the government for helping in building the community, he also entreats the government to make sure this incident should not have happened in the near future. He also thanks the government in make sure that his people will get a place to sleep in the awake of the raining season.

Mr. Francis Abeiku Yankay (municipal Nadmo director) thanks delegation which is led by Hon. Benito Owusu Bio for what they have done so far, and entreats the youth to stop filming at accident if they are not working for any institution or media to help avert this incident in the near future. He also entreats the youth to help mould the blocks.
