On Friday ,18th day of February, 2022, the Western Regional Minister, Hon. Kobby Darko Mensah, the President of Wassa Hemaa Foundation and Chairperson of the Governing Board of Minerals Commission of Ghana Hon.Barbara Oteng-Gyasi, the Municipal Chief Executive for the good people of Prestea Huni Valley Municipality, Hon. Isaac Dasmani (PhD) commiserated with the Divisional Chiefs of Wassa Damang  Traditional Area on the death of their Queen mother Nana Yaa  Afrah I.

They extended their heartfelt and deepest condolences to the chiefs and people of Wassa Damang on the great loss of their beloved Queen mother, prayed for eternal repose of her soul as she returned to the Lord her Maker. In accordance with custom, they supported Nananom and the elders with undisclosed amount of money and beverages in the performance of the burial rites of the Queen mother.

The delegation comprised Hon. Barbara Oteng-Gyasi, Hon.Isaac Dasmani (PhD), the Western Regional Minister, Hon. Kwabena Okyere Darko-Mensah, Mr. Abiam Kuntu Danso (NPP Constituency Chairman, Prestea Huni – Valley) and party Executives of Wassa Damang.
