The edifice was awarded to the Contractor for work to commence in the year 2020 with initial funding from MP’s Common Fund allocation during her tenure as Legislator and continued to the completion with financial support from the Wassa Hemaa Foundation. The facility comprises two spacious classrooms with ceiling fans, whiteboards, teacher’s desks with chairs, modern child-size furniture, a Head teacher’s office, a store room, a lavatory, and a fenced playground equipped with Merry-Go-Round, Flying swing, and Rocking horses and Slides for outdoor activities.

encourage the government and the Assembly to come to their aid with more such projects.

The Former MP Hon. Barbra Oteng Gyasi in addressing the people noted that education can only be improved when a conducive environment effective for teaching and learning is provided. She made it clear that the source of the facility was started by the Common Fund and completed by her established foundation which is the WASA HEMAA FOUNDATION.

She hinted that Education, Health, and Jobs are the three major things she aimed at improving during her days as an MP and now, hence the establishment of her foundation which will help to achieve such a goal. She also took the opportunity to encourage the children to learn hard to benefit from the government’s flagship initiatives such as Free SHS and grantor-free student loan support for tertiary Students.

Speaking at the commissioning, Mr. Samuel Osei, Head of Management and Supervision of the Municipal Education Directorate, who represented the Municipal Director of Education stated that, the new facilities were funded through the Common Fund and WASA HEMAA FOUNDATION, he also thanked the former MP and the MCE for the aim at supporting the government’s priority initiatives for sustainable socio-economic development.
