RADIO SENSITIZATION ON TEENAGE PREGNANCY ANDHIV/AIDS

On 2nd February, the Information Services Department together with the Social Welfare and Community Development Department went to Oyɛɛman Fm to sensitize the public on Teenage Pregnancy and HIV/AIDS. They encouraged the general public to voluntarily go for counseling and testing for HIV/AIDS as it is not harmful. They should desist from the fear of being tested as this can help the Doctors to place those who would be tested positive on medicine in other to gain a healthy life. This will help them take
the necessary Precautions.

Parents were encouraged to monitor the activities of their children and report all cases of teenage pregnancy to the Social Welfare Department. Children and teenagers were also advised to take their studies seriously and avoid being persuaded by men into sexual immoralities. They were also
encouraged to report any changes they see in their bodies to their parents or teachers.
