The Municipal information Services Department have embarked on sensitization on E-Tankas and Property Rate within the Municipality. E-Tankas is a mobile application that will be used by the District Environmental and Sanitation Officers to summon anyone who violates the Environmental bye-laws, this was initiated by the Western Regional Coordinating Council led by the Regional Minister to help improve
good sanitation within the region.

Property Rate is a rate imposed on immovable property at a specified rate on the rateable value of a property. The Ghana Revenue Authority in collaboration with the Ministery of Local Government and Rural Development has moved the payment of property Rate to digital through application and internet connections. Through this the citizens must download myassemblyapp or visit www.myassembly.gov.gh to register their property and make payment through the process.

The Officers went on various radio stations, Community information centers and Van announcement in market and other places of within the Municipality. places such as Bogoso and its environs, Prestea- Himan and it’s environs, Aboso, Huni-valley, Darman, Bompieso, Samahu and other villages have been covered and still ongoing at remaining towns and villages.

The general public are given the opportunity to express their views, share their contributions and ask questions they intend to know with immediate answers from the officers.
