THE ELECTORAL COMMISSION OF GHAHA COMMENCES LIMITED VOTERS REGISTRATION EXERCISE IN ALL DISTRICT OFFICES.

The electoral commission on Tuesday,12th September, 2023 commence the Voters registration exercise. The registration takes place at all the 268 District Offices of the electoral commission. Eligible citizen who have attained the age of 18 years and others who couldn’t register in 2020, should visit the District Office where they reside, with their Ghana card or passport for registration. Applicant who do not have Ghana card, is requested to present two persons who are already registered voters to guarantee their registration. Person who is not 18 years and above cannot register.  The electoral commission comes by appointment of the Act 70 of the constitution. They are to compel the register of voters and revise it at such periods as may be determined by law.

At the Prestea-Huni valley district office, the applicants are really taking part in this exercise to attain their registration.  

The commission however assures the general public that, arrangement have been made to ensure that all eligible citizens would be registered within the timelines given, the statement asked the public for the cooperation and support for a peaceful exercise.
