On the 30th of June 2021, Hon. Isaac Dasmani (Ph.D.), the Municipal Chief Executive for Prestea Huni-Valley, joined the management of AngloGold Ashanti Iduapriem Mine in Commissioning Ultra-modern Hexagonal 6unit classroom block, Staff common room, and storeroom for these two communities; Awudua and New Tokunaso, all within Prestea Huni-Valley Municipal.
In the same vein, The Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Isaac Dasmani (Ph.D.) led ANGLOGOLD ASHANTI IDUAPRIEM in Commissioning another magnificent Community Center, which also serves as an auditorium for the people of Awudua. The edifice was named after the chief of Apinto Divisional stool, Nana Kobina Angu II.
Addressing the audience at the durbar organized by the company in partnership with the Apinto Stool in commemorating Nana Kobina Angu II, Chief of Apinto Divisional Stool, for serving Apintoman for 33 good years, the MCE congratulated AngloGold Ashanti Iduapriem and their sister company Goldfields Ghana Ltd for their unflinching support in the field of infrastructure and provision of other assistance to their catchment communities within the municipality.
Dr. Dasmani reiterated that he would collaborate with the Apinto Divisional Stool Council to lobby his government to establish Apinto secondary school for the people of Awudua and its surrounding communities. Nana Kobina Angu II expressed great appreciation for the honor done him whiles he is still alive.
