The long-awaited state of Bogoso’s main market is gradually receiving a facelift to befit a Municipal capital status. Construction of 3 ultra-modern story building stores seriously begun yesterday, Sunday,13th of June, 2021.
Exactly one year on when His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufu Addo appointed Dr. Isaac Dasmani as the Municipal Chief Executive to continue from his predecessor Hon. Mozart Kwaku Owuh, prioritize Bogoso Market as a major concern to the Municipal Assembly.
Given that, he started stakeholders’ consultations under public-private partnership (PPP) where the 1st phase of the turnover of the market had begun.
According to the MCE, the stores would be constructed in phases. The first phase is the front view of the market where it faces the major road. The 2nd& 3rd phases will follow suit. Works on the floor had already been completed with pavement blocks.
This remarkable effort and works put forth by the Workaholic MCE saw him and his engineers from the Municipal works department with the contractors on site constructing fence wall for all the owners of the stores to evacuate the premises.
Upon engaging the contractors on the time in completing the project, they promised to finish works in December 2021.
In the same vein, Hon. Isaac Dasmani (Ph.D.) inspected ongoing works on the Bogoso town football field where the Municipal Assembly is supporting the expertise from the Municipal Football Association (MFA) in reshaping the Bogoso town park which has been abandoned by the community because it was used for a different purpose.
