In all societies, some degree of waste is inevitable, dealing with this effectively and appropriately is essential to ensuring a clean and healthy environment. Ensuring that hazardous pollutants do not pose a risk to human or environmental health, the assembly member of Ekutuase electoral area Mr. Emmanuel Eshun has today 13th June, 2024 unveiled Waste Dump Truck to help manage waste in the Aboso community and its environs.
Speaking to the gathering, Mr. Ibrahim Dare the administrator of Aboso Area Council said, a day that can never be erased from the history of Aboso. Sanitation has been a great issue in Aboso area therefore he urged the management to ensure maintenance of truck and the workers to work diligently all to together to help maintain the environment.
Nana Kwesi Appiah the Chief of Ekutuase, thanked all congratulated the assembly member for such effort. He emphasized the attitude of maintenance culture. Urged all to pay for maintenance and for fueling the vehicle urged all to support in keeping the environment clean by throwing every refuse in the dustbin.
The Environment health officer Mr. Isaac Philip Torxe noted that, the assembly is pleased and happy about the occasion. Sanitation had been a main problem to the assembly and the assembly is now partnering with the private sector to maintain sanitation in the municipality. It is the responsibility of the assembly. Hence, the MCE urged that the assembly should create enabling environment for
private sector to maintain waste in municipality. Sanitation has been a source of revenue in recent times and its good Hon. Eshun has joined. He urged all to support E&E waste management.
Lawyer Barbra Otteng Gyasi the Board Chairperson of Minerals Commission seezes the opportunity to voiced out that, this is a happy news for us all, as biblically, cleanliness is next to Godliness. We need to support him because he has shown us that he has put his powers in to good use. This demonstrate that he has been a good citizen. Ask yourself yourself what you can do to demonstrate that you are good citizen. She urged the workers to be closing truthful.
The MCE Hon. Isaac Dasmani insisted that, he is very happy today as this is very good effects which needs to be emulated. If you throw refuse into the gutter it will end up in your room. Some people sweep their rooms and throw it along the roads. He pledged the support of the assembly. The assembly will help design a module to ensure refuse is picked at vantage points. He said very soon a 3-unit classroom block will be commissioned at Aboso Essaman. He cautioned that anyone who is caught littering around will be dealt
with drastically.
